November 1, 2022                        Austin’s Online Therapist in Fort Worth

                                          “Serving two cities, understanding both!”

Hey, Austin! I’m Here for You...  And for Fort Worth area residents, too!

Since relocating the practice from Portland, Oregon to Austin, Texas, in 2015, I’ve come to know and care for hundreds of clients, couples, and families in Central Texas.

Established and new clients may, as ever, access therapy online as we have for over two years now. In a post-Covid, “new normal” world, one change that two years of lockdowns has made for most of us was finding we spent less time in traffic and more time at home with family and friends.

This pulled us out of focusing on today's "tyranny of the urgent" and and center ourselves on the big picture: Values. Many of you have made detours because of that, while staying on course in life. We realized that “life’s too short” not to take a risk sometimes to get ourselves where we need to be.

In this spirit—and with the realization that I can still be fully here for my Austin clients while living closer to family—I'm taking the leap to establish a primary office in Fort Worth and serve both Austin and the “Panther City,” primarily via Telehealth.

I’ve found that online therapy works very well for most people, while not all (children, for instance), and that clients make progress in this modality similar to “in office” outcomes.

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have and to express your views. I look forward to working with you, just as we have, in our continuing journey!

 Warm Regards,

Susan

New Parents?
And Baby Makes Three is the book for you if your relationship has been wonderfully (and crazily) altered by the arrival of a little one in the crib. Take twenty minutes a night to connect around the on-target chats after each chapter in John Gottman's great book and start to enjoy the adventure of parenting together, cooperatively, rather than competitively!
